August was a busy month for me. I kept mommy and daddy very busy with all of my diapers and feeding. On August 13, I had my first real Dr.'s appointment with Dr. Egerton (the same Dr. daddy saw when he was little, and still sees!).

Look how I've grown!

At birth, July 16 1999 Weight: 8lbs 1oz... Height: 20 ½

Later on August 13, 1999 Weight: 9lbs 12 oz... Height: 21 ¼

Mom and dad are adjusting to being parents very well. They share all of the duties that I require.

Dad changes the diapers and burps me at 3 a.m. while mom feeds me. Isn't he the best! Sometimes I think he is sleepwalking though. For a few days he was so tired he was taking care of me in the bed, but I wasn't there! Mommy thought that was a little strange. Isn't he devoted though!

Mommy is adjusting to being with me all day alone, I really tire her out. But on the good days I let her take a shower if she's really nice to me. She and I went to the mall it might be a while before we go back. She hasn't quite figured out how to push me in the stroller and herself through the door while holding it open. I'm sure we'll figure that out with the help of some other mommies.

Grandma and grandpa McCalla live far away, and they're busy, I see them sometimes.

Grandma Caldwell still comes to see me when she can. She went back to school with all those scary kids. She's so funny, she talks like daffy duck! I like to play with her.

Uncle Joel is afraid I'll break when he holds me, he'll learn. He's a cop!

Uncle Kris I haven't met, maybe someday soon.

I have a new friend too. His name is Uncle Bob, he's fun to look at. When mommy and daddy aren't looking he makes silly faces at me (daddy got it on video!).

Aunt Janna comes to see me too, but she won't ever put me down.

Come to think of it, everyone talks silly to me.

I'll smile at them someday...
